MHA Chapter 319 Spoilers: Plot Details and Panels

After hours of waiting for MHA Chapter 319 leaks on Twitter and vibing with those in the tags… we’re finally in there thanks to Atsu. Here’s everything you need to know about My Hero Academia Chapter 319: Friend including plot details, panels, and more!

As some may recall before the sudden twist of Deku leaving UA High, he left letters to each of his classmates, though the only reaction we saw was Uraraka’s. We finally see more of the class’s reactions in full color, such as Bakugo angrily tearing his letter apart as he and Todoroki intuit that Deku is likely working with the pro heroes at this point. While they are right for the most part, Iida’s idea to contact the pros is quickly shut down by the top three not answering calls. The students quickly realize something is up, what with All Might gone, classes canceled, and the pros ignoring calls. Bakugo comments on knowing Deku better than anyone, and pretty correctly guesses he will get into some trouble.

After deciding that contacting Endeavor is the best way to Deku, Class 1-A waits outside Principal Nezu’s room while Endeavor and the principal talk. Todoroki confronts his father not only about Toya, but about why he allowed Deku and All Might to leave together. Before getting a full answer, Bakugo explains that it’d seem like the right thing to do were it anyone but those two. As both were quick to run into any danger as users of One for All, Bakugo basically assumes the gist of the past three or so chapters pretty well, with All Might being unable to stop Deku down his self destructive path.

After a number of class members including Tooru, Sero, and Mineta steal Endeavor’s phone to see Deku’s GPS location, the class reflects on their friendships with Deku. They comment on how important he’s been in only a year and how they wouldn’t feel right letting him do all the work, especially upon learning of One for All.. Upon confronting Nezu about it all, the principal confirms he allowed Deku to work with the pros because he was a target, but allowed the boy to come back any time he’d like. Even so, he compliments the class on their growth in such a short time. After Nezu assures both the class and Endeavor that UA is completely safe due to their upgraded barrier, the whole class sets out to Kamino.

After defeating Dictator and the citizenry are freed, Deku asks why they all came. Ochako tells Deku that they’ve all been worried, though he assures them he’s fine as he’s been prone to do. Deku warns the others to get away, likely expecting a rigged Dictator, but Bakugo calls Deku out. He mocks the “great inheritor of One for All” and quickly points out that he isn’t happy. While Deku assures them he’s doing everything for their sake and asks them to let him go, Bakugo refuses to move with Iida and Ochako at his side. The chapter ends just before a presumed battle between Deku and Class 1-A.

While we may not have gotten the followup to last week’s cliffhanger RIGHT away, at least the other students got time to shine and the incoming Deku vs Kacchan V3 has me insanely hyped. Gotta say though, Nezu being so gung ho to get everyone including the main villains target under one roof has me a little suspicious. Maybe we finally found the long foreshadowed traitor?
