It’s safe to say that Kaiju are pretty popular nowadays, right? Godzilla vs Kong was a hit in theatres when it released earlier in the year and now we’re looking forward to the next batch of Kaiji content that’s coming in the form of the new Godzilla anime, Singular Point, and its newly-confirmed release date.
New Godzilla Anime Release Date
If you’ve already heard a lot about Godzilla Singular Point, there’s a reason for that. It was originally released on Netflix Japan on March 25th, 2021, and was then released on Japanese TV channels from April 1st, 2021.

However, this has left Western Kaiju fans a little bit out of the loop. Of course, there are VPNs and… less legal ways of viewing stuff that’s uploaded to Netflix Japan, but we’re not saying we should or should not tell you how to do that.
Either way, though, Godzilla Singular Point is being added to Netflix globally on June 24th! There’s no news just yet if this will be the entire eight-episode series or if it will be released weekly. However, we’re inclined to think this will be the entire series.
What Is Singular Point About?
What an excellent question. The new Godzilla anime might have a global release date, but what is it even about? Thankfully, we know the premise of the series. Don’t worry, we won’t be posting any major spoilers below.
Godzilla Singular Point is set in Nigashio City, 2030, and follows Yun Arikawa and Mei Kamino in a battle against the biggest threat their world has faced so far.
What is interesting about this series is that Arikawa and Kamino are both exploring different mysteries in different parts of Japan when they hear the same song. This inexplicably unites them and forces them to collaborate against the deadly Kaiju, Godzilla. We won’t go into much more detail to preserve the mystery, but it looks very good.
