Fortnite Batman Zero Point Comic #2 crossover DC Comics

Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point #2 has released, the first Zero Point issue of two to be released this month. The rest of the issues will be released between now and July. With that, we got our hands on issue #2 of Batman/Fortnite Zero Point to review.

DISCLAIMER: This article may contain spoilers for Batman/Fortnite Zero Point #2.

Honestly with the idea of this comic I thought that maybe they would be stretching what we know about the storm and the actual, and eventual reset of the Island and the loop that occurs but I think so far everything is pretty damn set in stone.

Strange to think of it that way but, while we play Fortnite and each game lasts 22 minutes at most, there are also other variables in play.

If there’s anything that you’re a fan of that’s going to be transformed into a comic, you would want it to be true to the core concepts of both franchises so thankfully that’s exactly what’s been happening here and will continue to happen.

The writers of this have so far done an incredible job at being true to the concept of the island in every way so far that it reflects a players experience on the island’s behaviors as well staying true to The World’s Greatest Detective.

You may be asking yourself, even as an avid Fortnite fan, “Why would I want this?” Well, every issue comes with a code for something in Fortnite such as a glider, a skin, or possibly more and redeeming all 6 codes will give you the Armored Batman Skin.

As each issue comes out related items in Item Shop are also being released, such as yesterday’s release of Batman Zero Outfit on May 4th with the Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point #2.

Batman and the Zero Point: familiarizing the island

This issue of Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point shows the Dark Knight in a little more of an understanding of what’s going on around him between the storm, the 22 minute loop, and this questionable and somehow familiar relationship with ‘The Cat”.

Finding clues all over himself The World’s Greatest Detective immediately knows that he himself wrote these messages. Helping him recall a portion of himself, not who he is, but just enough to find himself fast enough to get to work after every loop.

In true Batman fashion, he immediately recognizes not only himself but the difference between an enemy and an ally.

Being trapped in a strange world with a loss of memory and without the ability to speak, even with an ally, Batman ultimately spends every cycle of the storm testing out new theories but will Batman truly be able to separate himself from the loop or will he be trapped forever?

So far this has been much more grounded than I expected it to be but I’m very pleased with it, as my main fear was that the events taking place in this series would be stretched to make certain things happen but it’s been just the opposite.

I’m excited to see where this goes, especially as a Snake Eyes and Batman encounter is expecting in the series.
