2021 League of Legends Worlds Play-Ins day three recap
The final day of the round-robin for the 2021 League of Legends Worlds Play-Ins has come to an end. The top teams from each group were playing for their opportunity to play in the Group Stage, while everyone else played to make it to the best of fives to have the opportunity to play in the best of fives to decide the remaining two teams to move on.

The End of The Road
After the last day of the round-robin, two teams had to go home. Infinity Esports, the Latin American team, had been eliminated already from their group after they finished day two with a record of 0-3, and after the tiebreakers today, Unicorns of Love joined their club. Infinity Esports still had to play their game today, trying to play spoiler and hand LNG Esports their first loss. Unicorns of Love did manage to hand Cloud9 their first loss but fell to Beyond Gaming in their tiebreaker game.
Off To Groups
After all the dust settled, two teams were already on their way to the Group Stage of the 2021 League of Legends Worlds. Those two teams are LNG Esports and Detonation Focus Me.
Despite losing their first game of the week to Cloud9, Detonation Focus Me took them down in their tiebreaker. Because of the way that the teams in the Group Stage have fallen, LNG Esports will play in Group D, and Detonation Focus Me will be in Group B.

This also marks the first time that a team from the LJL, the Japanese League of Legends league will play in the Group Stage of Worlds.
The best of five games begin tomorrow, starting with Beyond Gaming going against Galatasaray Esports at 4 AM PST/7 AM EST/ 12 PM BST, and the games can be seen at LoLEsports.com.
