Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 is here and it has changed the way we play Fortnite with the new crafting system.
As with every season, new challenges arrived with it. Here is how to complete Craft Mechanical weapons using mechanical parts and a makeshift weapon from the Season 6 Week 1 challenges.
Find golden artifacts near The Spire
To complete this, players need to find three artifacts that are dotted around The Spire, a brand new POI that is situated in the middle of the map where the Zero Point used to be.
Here are their locations.
The first can be found in a building on the west side of the POI that is directly under the E in THE on the mini map.
The second is found next to some barrels in the centre building of The Spire.
Finally, head outside and go to the central part and look for the market stalls.
The final Artifact can be found behind one of the market stalls.

Week 1 Epic Quests
Here are the Week 1 Epic Quests.
The challenges this week are:
- Hunt Wildlife (5)
- Craft Primal weapons using bones and makeshift weapons (3)
- Craft a Hunter’s Cloak (1)
- Talk to characters (3)
- Collect mechanical parts from vehicles, trailers, buses, or tractors (5)
- Craft Mechanical weapons using mechanical parts and a makeshift weapon (3)
- Find golden artifacts near The Spire (3)
Each Epic Quest is worth 24,000 XP, granting 168,000 XP in total, around 2 levels worth of XP.

Week 1 Legendary Quests
Here are the Week 1 Legendary Quests.
The Legendary Quest this week is:
The first stage of the challenge is worth 35,000 XP, the following 4 are worth 24,500 XP each, giving a total of 140,000 XP for completing the Legendary Quest.

But be fast, Legendary Quests are only around until the next set of challenges go live and then they are gone forever.
