Among Us Airship Map Impressions

Its been barely a whole week since the new Among Us Airship map dropped onto the player base, and here’s hoping it manages to revitalize the game a bit. On the night of release I managed to play with a couple of the lads and did some random matches online, so I’ll give some early impressions about the Among Us Airship.

Map

As was shown off pretty early on, this map is absolutely MASSIVE. In terms of how long it takes to travel around and do tasks, this certainly is the largest in the game and it isn’t particularly close either.

As seen by the map above, its pretty expansive and a lot more twisty turny than the room and hallway structure before. The vents are also pretty neat here with four groups of vents that are all fairly spread apart but give good mobility to the Impostors.

Another new feature in the Among Us Airship map is the ability to choose spawn points at the beginning and after each emergency meeting. This helps spice things up earlygame so not everyone is huddling around, and can help for lategame mobility for doing your remaining tasks. Speaking of…

Tasks

Well, this is Among Us we’re talking about, so the tasks aren’t really much to write home about and mostly serve as charming minigames to have an objective for the crew.

That said, this map doesn’t really disappoint. None of the tasks feel especially egregious except perhaps the towel one, but its just a lot of back and forth. Literally taking out the trash and the shower tasks are particularly amusing.

Really, there isn’t much to be said. Tasks are, well, tasks, and they’re not notably better or worse than before, aside from some charming ones.

Verdict

All in all though, I really like the Among Us Airship map. Even with only small lobbies there still always feels like stuff to do, and maneuvering around the Airship feels more isolating than other maps.

If you ended up leaving the Among Us craze, perhaps the new map is a good reason to revisit it, and if you’re new to the game, try it out on mobile for free!
