PS Plus February 2021 Predictions: Free PS5 Game, Reveal Date, Free PS4 Games

The PlayStation 5 launched late last year, and Sony are still as committed to giving away free games to PS Plus subscribers every month.

Here is what we know so far.

Release Date

The current bunch of free games, for January, are available until February 1st. This means that the next batch should be available from February 2nd.

Reveal Date

Looking at Sony’s previous schedule for revealing the upcoming titles, it should be on or around Wednesday January 27th when the next set of games are revealed.

Free PS5 Game

Just one month after the launch of the PS5 we got Bugsnax for free on day 1 that the game launched, and now it has been confirmed we’re getting another free PS5 next month.

In a blog post, Sony announced that the upcoming Destruction AllStars will be free to all PS5 members of PS Plus on day 1.

“Hi everyone, we wanted to share a quick update on our plans for Destruction AllStars. We’ve decided to move the game’s release from November 2020 to February 2021, where it will be included for two months in PlayStation Plus at no additional cost. “

With the carnage aspect of Destruction Derby and the arena style of Rocket League, this should be a crazy ride when February’s PS Plus games go live.

Note: PS Plus subscribers, that don’t own a PS5 yet, can still add the free PS5 game to their library, they just won’t be able to play it until they get a PS5, even if the game is also available on PS4.

Predictions

Along with the free PS5 games we will also see 2 free PS4 games on offer. Until Sony announce them we won’t know for sure, but we can predict and speculate what could be coming.

Far Cry New Dawn

2019s Far Cry New Dawn is the latest entry in the series. The next title, Far Cry 6, is due out in May 2021, but rumours suggest its being pushed forward to April, which would make it a perfect time to jump into the previous entry to drum up hype for the next game.

Resident Evil 7

On January 21st Capcom are hosting the RE Showcase, giving viewers a first look at the gameplay for the upcoming Resident Evil 8, along with more announcements and information.

Resident Evil 7 Baker Family Dinner

The current suggested release date is also April 2021, which would mean now is the chance to get people used to the first person perspective before they jump into RE8.

January 2021 Games

Since the new games won’t go live until February 2nd, there is still plenty of time left to claim this month’s free games.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider
