Will GTA 6 Be On Nintendo Switch?

It has been over 7 years since the release of GTA 5, with the game first releasing back in 2013. Despite this, Rockstar hasn’t even officially announced GTA 6 yet, but we do know its in active development right now.

So as we look towards GTA 6, will it be on Nintendo Switch?

It is worth noting that, despite the game being ported to three generations of consoles, it has yet to be ported to a Nintendo console.

The Nintendo Switch is vastly underpowered compared to the PS4 and Xbox One, with speculation being as low as 12% of the power of the Xbox One when undocked.

In November 2020 we saw the release of the next-generations of consoles, the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, as well as the launch of the latest GPUs, the Nvidia RTX 30 series and AMD’s RX 6000 series.

These releases saw a vast improvement in visual and performance quality, really furthering the gap with the last gen systems, especially the Nintendo Switch.

With the current rumoured release date of GTA 6 being in late 2023, it means that the current-gen consoles will be three years old by that point and the Nintendo Switch will be six years old.

Unless Nintendo releases the rumoured Nintendo Switch Pro, and even then it is a stretch, it is extremely unlikely that we will see GTA 6 on the Nintendo Switch.
