The Apex Legends Titanfall content is finally here

It may not be full Titans (yet), but the Apex Legends Titanfall content we were promised looks like it’s on its’ way in the “Legacy Update” for Season 9.

Following the intense new entry into the Stories from the Outlands series, we now know who the next Legend is to join Apex Legends and it seems like we’re finally starting to get the Titanfall-focused content we were promised (and we were hungry for!)

Apex Legends x Titanfall

It’s worth noting, before we discuss the Stories from the Outlands short, that Apex Legends has always had a Titanfall connection.

If you haven’t played Titanfall much, it might be easy to miss, but the two actually share the same in-game universe. All of the Apex Legends weapons are variations on those found in Titanfall and Titanfall 2. The guy who supposedly founded the Apex Games, which the whole game is based on, is actually a character from the Titanfall series too!

It felt like an unspoken link for a long time but now Respawn Entertainment are fully embracing the connection between the two and it’s leading to some amazing content for fans of both titles.

The “Northstar” Short

The latest Stories from the Outlands introduces Kairi Imahara, the daughter of a Titan pilot in the Titanfall series, as the next Legend joining the Apex Legends roster.

Before it came out, everyone suspected that it would be Titanfall-based given the fact that “Northstar” is a reference to one of the types of Titan in Titanfall. Furthermore, rumours and leaks were rife suggesting Kuben Blisk himself would be coming to the game!

This, though, isn’t what we expected but it’s very cool. Valkyrie, Kairi’s “nickname” and her Legend callsign in the Apex Games” doesn’t have a full Titan at her disposal though.

However, she does have a bit of Titan technology to help her make an impact in the Apex games. You can see that in the Apex Legends Season 9 (Legacy Update) key art below:
