Players unable to log in to Warzone Nuke Event

Call of Duty Warzone Nuke Event Promo

Last Updated on: 21st April 2021, 08:45 pm

The highly anticipated Call of Duty: Warzone Nuke event is here, with the event expecting to bring huge changes to the Warzone map as a nuke is set to drop on Verdansk.

Well, that is if you can actually get into the game to view it.

The Warzone Nuke event was just to take place at,

  • UK: 8pm (BST)
  • West Europe: 9pm (CEST)
  • East Coast US: 3pm (EDT)
  • West Coast US: 12pm (PDT)

So at the time of writing this, we are heading towards 40 minutes since the event was due to start, but many players are still unable to get into the game.

Most players are still stuck in a server queue and it’s unclear whether they will completely miss out on the event or whether Activision will allow players to view it after the fact.

Activision’s Support recently put out a tweet to inform players of the ongoing issues.

“We’re actively investigating an issue with long wait times in the server queue for #WARZONE. Stay tuned for updates.”

The event is set to take place in a playlist, rather than happening in the middle of match while everyone is playing, so it is possible that they will allow players to watch it at a later point, but it is frustrating for many as in-game events have become a huge community moment.

Games such as Fortnite helped pioneer in-game events and they have become one of the most exciting parts of any season as it helps progress the story, especially in a Battle Royale game where it is hard to tell a story.

Once we know more from Activision regarding players being able to watch the event at a later date we will keep you updated.
