Destiny 2: What time will the new raid be available?

We’re inching closer to the new Destiny 2 raid, as the time to prepare during the new season is upon us. Have you been grinding some new gear? Maybe you’ve found some fun weapons to mess around with? Maybe there’s a new subclass setup you came up with that will make Vault of Glass more of a thrill ride?

Whatever the case may be, you should definitely be preparing for the new raid, as we’re pretty close to its launch. If you wanna get in on the world’s first race, you’ll definitely want to know these important details. There’s no being fashionably late here!

Early Bird Smashes The Glass

So Vault of Glass is going to launch on May 22nd at around 10 am PDT. That means that you’re getting up bright and early to smash some Vex heads in with your fellow Guardians. This is on par with other raid release times, as they start during the day and go on until someone finishes the raid first.

However, given that this is an older raid from Destiny 1, the raid race will be a little different this time around. Even though finishing the raid will still be the main focus, you’ll have to complete a series of raid challenges right after finishing the raid once. The first team to do this will earn this year’s raid belt that will have the original world’s first winners alongside them.

Loot, Shoot, And Swag

In addition to receiving a raid belt for coming in 1st place, you will also be allowed to purchase various themed items from the Bungie store after finishing the raid before the second reset. A jacket, ring, and pin will become available once the raid has been completed once within the first week.

All in all, this new raid is going to be both a memorable time for veteran players and a glimpse into how Bungie is going to handle releasing new raids in Destiny 2 going forward. Make sure you eat a hearty breakfast on May 22nd and bring your favorite gun with you to clock Atheon over the head with.
