New Pride skins to come to Fortnite today

The Fortnite 17.20 update was released earlier today, with it being the first update that we’ve seen in a month due to Epic Games taking a summer break.

In the update we have seen new weapons, the new preferred item slots mechanic and much more be added.

With every update comes many new skins and Epic Games is set to celebrate equality with their latest Item Shop addition as later today we will see the new Pride skins be released.

New Pride skins to come to Fortnite

It has been rumoured for a while that Pride-themed skins would be coming to Fortnite in support of the LGBTQ+ community and Pride Month, which took place throughout June.

It is believed that the new Rainbow Racer skin will be the first to celebrate Pride, but it is possible that more skins will be revealed.

According to prominent Fortnite leaker Shiina, the Item Shop will update at 10 am EST/3 pm BST and will add the new Pride section to the store.

This was further backed up by HYPEX who said that “A “Rainbow Royale” shop section will be used today/this week for the Pride cosmetics!”

It is possible that some of the new skins that were added in the 17.20 update will be included as part of the Rainbow Royale, but we can’t confirm which will be until the Item Shop updates.

The Rainbow Royale addition comes hours before the brand new Bugha Icon Series skin will be released, which will see the Fortnite World Cup Champion finally be immortalized in the hit Battle Royale game.

Bugha is due to be released in the Item Shop tonight at 8 pm EST/1 am BST and between June 20th-28th there will be a special Bugha’s Late Game Arena mode, which will start players in the third zone with a set load out, followed by a tournament on June 28th where the top Trios can earn their share of $100,000.
