Genshin Impact: Confirmed to be coming to Epic Games Store

Genshin Impact has a listing and a release date on the Epic Games store now, so anyone who’s been waiting for that release can finally get it, or at least know the release date to get it.

My fellow The Click writer Franklin actually had a piece mentioning this potentially happening back in late march, available here, if you’d like to travel back in time a little bit.

With that said, let’s get on to what is now confirmed and known to us for a fact.

When does Genshin Impact release on the Epic Games Store?

Genshin Impact has been listed on the Epic games Store, at the page here for those who’d like to see for themselves.

Aside from a trailer about the upcoming update, featuring; among other things, the introduction skins, a new area and a seemingly player controlled boat – the web page also lists a few details about the game. The usual developer, publisher, tags etc alongside an available date.

The date, as shown below, is listed as June 9th 2021.

It should be noted that this is the first time that Genshin Impact will be available on PC somewhere other than the main miHoYo website, and could start developments leading to listings on other game stores such as Steam. That is purely speculation at the moment, however.

Is there anything else to this?

This story isn’t actually that huge unless you’re a fan of the Epic Games Store. Naturally if you don’t like them, this news doesn’t mean much to you.

Likewise if you’re a fan of Epic, you might be glad to be able to route a game through their system rather than having to rely on one for an individual title. Of course there are also likely to be some people who have been waiting for Genshin to come to Epic Games Store before they tried it, so this news will be huge to them.
