Genshin Impact does have a photo mode for those pretty scenery shots, but if you want to take pictures during combat you’ll need the Kamera gadget to manage it.
So how do you get the Kamera?
How to get the Kamera in Genshin Impact
To get the Kamera for yourself, you’ll want to complete the the World Quest known as “Snapshots” – its quite a short one, taking place in Liyue Harbor.
You first need to speak to Xu at the Feiyun Slope, located near the northern teleport waypoint in Liyue Harbor. From there he’ll inform you he could do with someone to deliver two pictures to customers.
The customers are Granny Shan, and Tea Master Liu Su. Neither are particularly far away from the start position, so the quest can be completed quite quickly.

Tea Master Liu Su
Immediately after talking to Xu, a set of stairs is visible nearby from the area you begin the quest. Following the stairs shown in the image below will lead you to the first character you need to speak with, Tea Master Liu Su.
Simply head up the first set of stairs, and then choose either of the remaining two sets of stairs on the next floor to end up on the floor with Tea Master Liu Su.
Granny Shan
After speaking to Tea Master Liu Su, you’ll only have Granny Shan to go.
The fastest way to find her will be warping to the other nearby Liyue harbor beacon – she’s located in Chihu Rock’s main plaza, and is only a short distance away from the beacon.
Once you’ve spoken to Granny Shan and handed her her picture, the quest is basically done and you just need to speak to Xu again to report your success.
You’ll get two Hero’s wit books, 20k Mora and the Kamera for your troubles.

How to use the Kamera in Genshin Impact
You’ll need to equip the item in your inventory from the gadgets section – after that you just need to press whatever key or button you’d usually press to activate a gadget. For example, on PC, this is normally the Z key.
Pictures taken by the Kamera are treated similarly to those taken by the in-game photo mode, which means that they’ll be saved in the same place too.
For PC players, the saved pictures will be located in the “ScreenShot” directory under Genshin Impact/Genshin Impact Game wherever you installed the game.
Notably, the Kamera does lack the options present in the photo mode for adjusting your expression and pose or adjusting the camera itself, but it’s best used for taking pictures where you otherwise cannot, such as while gliding or fighting.

Is that everything?
That’s all there is to it, its a pretty simple item and a pretty simple quest in all honesty.
