Genshin Impact: How to make Yellow Dye for decorations

Genshin Impact Serenitea Pot indoors Scenery 3

If you’ve been playing the latest Genshin Impact update, you might have needed Yellow Dye in the Housing System. Here’s how to make more.

How to get Yellow Dye in Genshin Impact

Yellow dye, much like blue dye and red dye for that matter, can be made inside the Serenitea Pot, using the crafting menu.

To make Yellow Dye once you are inside the pot, begin by speaking to your Teapot Spirit Tubby. You’ll then need to enter the create furnishings menu and swap to the secondary tab at the top. From here, you’ll be able to create any of the three dye types provided you have the relevant materials.

There’ll be no need to scroll down if you’re in the right menu now, as there are only a handful of items listed here.

What you’ll need to make Yellow Dye

Yellow dye is one of currently three different colored dye options, and can made in this menu from any of the following 2 items:

  • Berries
  • Cor Lapis

Of these options, Berries are the vastly preferred material alternatives here. Make sure to tap on the conversion button and change to them if you happen to be on Cor Lapis.

Yellow dye has perhaps the most extreme difference between the resources used to make it, as while Berries are found pretty much across the map, Cor Lapis is in constant demand from items, Ascensions and other crafting while in much smaller supply.

Other dyes use items such as Valberries, carrots, Wolfhook, Sunsettia or mint as potential ingredients, pretty much all of which are effectively much cheaper options to invest into the teapot crafting system than the likes of Cor Lapis.

Regardless, if you have a sizeable stockpile of either resource that you don’t want, you have what you need to make Yellow Dye. I’d just highly recommend using berries over Cor Lapis for Yellow dye unless you have several thousand Lapis to waste on your realm.

With that little bit of handiwork dye creation out of the way, provided you have the relevant furniture blueprints and the other required materials, you should be free to start to create furnishing for your dream homes in Teyvat.

Most of these decorations exist in a purely decorative capacity, only really adding value to your Serenitea pot adeptal energy counter, or making a pretty screenshot.

Outside of that though, there isn’t a quest to decorate your Serenitea pot area, nor a way to gain progress towards the next adventure level for doing so. But by using the different dyes to make objects to go along with your tea chair and cedar shelf – or any other random decorations you’ve already acquired – at least it’ll look nicer when you hit that conversation button with some of the characters you invite to stay with you though, right?

You can benefit from a set of various perks by making yourself cooking and crafting stations such as an alchemy table for your home at least.

You might also need to make some fabrics to get the most out of your decorating efforts, so visit the article listed below for some help with those too.

Why do I need Yellow Dye in Genshin Impact?

Strictly speaking, you don’t explicitly need any yellow dye. However, if you intend to increase trust rank within the Serenitea Pot, the housing system of Genshin Impact, you will need to create as many unique decorations once as you can.

And that means you’ll want these different colored dyes to make them.
