Genshin Impact has a large map riddled with treasures – but some are harder to access than others, and the vine-covered chests are an example of this.

How to open a Vine Chest in Genshin Impact
Honestly, this one is a bit simple – but you do need something specific to do it, so it’s entirely possible you haven’t been able to open these simply because your party doesn’t have the required element available.
Naturally, overgrown plants are vulnerable to fire. So using an attack with pyro damage – the most easily accessible of which to any player is going to be Amber’s fully drawn shot from her bow – will begin to burn them, as shown below.
And source of fire damage will do in all likehilood, even using the Travellers Wind burst to pull from a nearby fire source and hitting the chest with the area of effect.

After being set alight, the chest will lose the vines to burning in a matter of seconds, and you’ll be able to claim your reward quite quickly.
