How Much Will GTA 6 Cost?

Considering it has been quite some time now since Grand Theft Auto V released, many are still waiting for any kind of announcement from Rockstar Games on the next installment in the series, GTA 6. When GTA 6 does finally get announced, though, how much will the game cost?

How Much Will GTA 6 Cost?

While most of the information we currently have on GTA 6 is speculation, it’s safe to say that Rockstar most likely is working on the game right now, but will probably not give us any information for a while.

This includes the price that GTA 6 will run for. If we take a look at previous Grand Theft Auto titles, they were often released on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, and hardly ever on Nintendo systems.

From this, we can predict how much the game might be. For starters, when Grand Theft Auto V originally released in late 2013, the game cost players $59.99. This has been the standard price for Triple A games for quite some time now.

This has started to change recently, though, with the release of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S late last year. PlayStation has already released a few titles starting at $69.99, including the remake of Demon’s Souls and Destruction All Stars.

If we take a look at the fact that many rumors are suggesting that GTA 6 will release in 2023, then the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S will already have been around for a few years and the $69.99 price tag might be more common at this point.

This remains to be seen, though, as there are still many new releases this year that will be priced at the typical $59.99 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, including Resident Evil Village, Balan Wonderworld, Mass Effect Legendary Edition, and more.

Due to this recent change in prices for newly released video games, we can say that GTA 6 will most likely fall in the range of $59.99 to $69.99. Until Rockstar Games gives an official announcement for the game, we can only speculate on what route they take for the pricing of GTA 6.
