In November 2020 we saw the release of the next-generations of consoles, the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, as well as the launch of the latest GPUs, the Nvidia RTX 30 series and AMD’s RX 6000 series.

At some point in 2021 we can expect to see a next-gen port of GTA V, further enhancing the game.

GTA V will soon be released on three different generations of consoles, in contrast, three main-series GTA games were released on the PS2.

It isn’t a fair comparison though as games are much larger these days, with the upcoming title set to be the largest in the series due to the advancements in technology.

This, of course, means a long development time, but it is also possible that there is still plenty of milk to be had from GTA V and GTA Online so Rockstar are in no rush to release the game.

GTA 6 is currently rumoured to be releasing in late 2023, so still quite a while yet, and is expected to launch on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
