New Sonic Colours Game Announced By SEGA

Last Updated on: 27th May 2021, 05:20 pm

Today’s Sonic Central is all about celebrating Sonic’s 30th anniversary. That doesn’t mean there isn’t a new Sonic game announcement in there, though. SEGA has confirmed that a new Sonic Colours game is coming! Here’s everything we know.

New Sonic Game Announcement

Sonic Colours Ultimate pits Sonic and his friends against Doctor Eggman again in a remaster of intergalactic scale.

It’s one of the best Sonic games out there and it’s coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on September 7th. If you preorder, you can also get a Baby Sonic keychain! How fun!

We don’t know exactly what this remaster will entail, but we can imagine it will include all the same upgrades you’d expect from a remaster in this day and age. It’s going to feature steady frame rates, a high fidelity, and all the content that was previously available in Sonic Colours.

If you’re looking for a trailer, we have the original one for you below! SEGA showed us the same trailer during the Sonic Central presentation, so this should get you all caught up.

Sonic’s 30th Anniversary

There’s a Sonic costume coming to the Tokyo 2020 Olympics game and we’re not sure what to think. It looks bizarre but we can’t wait! Tokyo 2020 is out June 22nd.

Two Point Hospital is also getting a Sonic crossover! Much like how Animal Crossing New Horizons had a “Mario Event”, Sonic is coming to Two Point Hospital on July 30th for free.

Sonic The Fighters is also coming to Lost Judgement on September 24th as an in-game game you can play. This is a little similar to how Crash Bandicoot was added to Uncharted 4.

Sonic Origins, a compilation title full of the first Sonic games, is in the works and three more Sonic games are coming to PlayStation’s PS Now (On June 1st) and Amazon’s Amazon Luna.

This isn’t going to be the only Sonic Central, SEGA are hosting more in the future and there’s a teaser that a Sonic x Minecraft crossover is in the works as we speak.
