E3 2021 has arrived and all eyes are set to be on Microsoft and their Xbox/Bethesda presentation as Sony will be giving the event a miss this year.

Ahead of their presentation on Sunday, June 13th, South Korean telecommunications company, SK Telecom, has announced that it is set to publish three new games to the Xbox platforms. These games are ANVIL, Little Witch In The Woods, and VAPOR World.

SK Telecom To Publish 3 New Games

December 2020 saw SK Telecom release NEOVERSE on Xbox One, Series X|S, and PC as part of the Xbox Game Pass service.

The three new titles will also launch on day one on Xbox Game Pass, as well as SK Telecom’s 5GX Cloud Game platform, which is an Asian service powered by Game Pass Ultimate to bring Game Pass to the Asian market for the first time.

What To Expect From Microsoft At E3

All eyes are on Microsoft this year as they prepare to host their Xbox/Bethesda presentation. Earlier this year, Microsoft finalized a deal to acquire Bethesda/ZeniMax for $7.5 billion, bringing IPs such as DOOM, The Elder Scrolls, and Fallout to the Xbox brand.

There has been much speculation as to whether future titles will remain exclusive to Xbox and PC or whether some will make an appearance on Sony’s PlayStation 5. We do know that titles that were already announced ahead of the acquisition, such as Ghostwire: Tokyo, will still release on Sony’s PlayStation platforms despite the game now being owned by Microsoft.

At E3 2021 we can expect to find out a lot more information on Halo Infinite. The game was originally scheduled to be a launch title for the Xbox Series X|S last November, but it was delayed due to fan backlash regarding the graphics.

It has been announced that Halo Infinite’s multiplayer will be free-to-play, making it accessible to anyone with an Xbox One, Series X|S, or PC, the campaign will still remain a paid game.

Many fans are hoping to see the announcement of a multiplayer beta as well as a release date for the full game, and it is very likely that we will get both of those during their presentation.

So far, we have seen very little in terms of exclusives for the new Xbox, compared to the PS5 which has seen many console exclusives such as Returnal, Oddworld: Soulstorm, Destruction All-Stars, and most recently Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.

This means we can expect Microsoft to come out of the gate swinging with more information and release date for titles such as Forza, Perfect Dark, Fable, Avowed, The Ascent, Crossfire X, ExoMecha, and Microsoft Flight Simulator.

When it comes to Bethesda it will be very unlikely that we find out an official release date for games such as The Elder Scrolls 6, although it would be incredible to finally know when it is coming as it has been almost a decade since the release of the last entry in the main-line series, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

However, one Bethesda title that fans are eagerly waiting for is Starfield, the first new IP from Bethesda in 25 years, and we are expecting that game to be released in 2022, so it is extremely likely we will finally get an official release date for the game.
