Lego Star Wars The Skywalker Saga: Will it be Cross-Platform?

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is the next game from the Lego Star Wars Series and will see players go through various missions spanning all 9 movies that make up the Skywalker Saga featuring every classic character including Luke and Anakin Skywalker, Darth Vader, Han Solo, Kylo Ren and more.

It is a Lego-themed action-adventure game and is expected to be out in spring 2021. But players are still unsure about whether it will be on both next-gen as well as last-gen. Here is what we know.

Latest – Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Delayed Indefinitely

Unfortunately it now looks like the game will be delayed indefinitely.

TT Games recently tweeted that the upcoming Lego Star Wars The Skywalker Saga will not be finished in time for its initial release date.

As of right now no release date has been given, but E3 2021 is right around the corner so hopefully we finally get a new release date for the game.

Is Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Cross-Platform?

In an interview with the Official PlayStation Magazine-UK, Dawn McDiarmid, Lead Hub Designer at TT Games confirmed that the game will be available cross-platform.

The game will be available on PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, as well as the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 when it launches. So everyone that plays on these consoles can get on the grind as soon as the game is released.

However, Dawn made it clear at the interview that The Skywalker Saga would omit certain features supported by the next generation consoles(Xbox Series X|S and PS5). The PS5 version of the game will not support a certain number of features like haptic feedback, 3D audio, and ray tracing.

In addition, there is no official confirmation of whether a patch would be made available to support these features for the next generation of consoles.

The Lego Star Wars:The Skywalker Saga from the trailer already feels very different from those in its series.

There will be 800 unique characters with the opportunity for players to play with 300 of them at different intervals of the game. The entire nine Star War Films is available to explore and players can choose the order they play them.
