Pokemon Home is the subscriber service that Pokemon players use to store and transfer Pokemon from the many different Pokemon titles in one place. The service is an app on both the Nintendo Switch and Smartphone devices and allows users to sort, organize, view, trade, and transfer Pokemon from any of the games in a streamlined manner.

Since the national Dex was cut from the most recent games, Pokemon Bank also functions as a surrogate for what the national Dex was. It provides many specific details on every Pokemon that’s entered into the bank for trainers to read and learn more about their favorite Pokemon’s stats, moves, forms, and more!

In addition to providing all of this functionality to players, Pokemon Home also acts as a distribution method for certain mystery gifts! Nintendo has distributed multiple rare (and even Mythical) Pokemon through the life-span of Pokemon Home, and the new Pokemon Home update is sure to deliver more of the content that players love!

Coming in June, a big update will hit Pokemon Home adding some new functionality. The biggest of which this time around is the catch-calendar.

A tool for those of us who appreciate a little nostalgia here and there, the catch-calendar will organize your Pokemon by the dates they were captured allowing players to take a trip down memory lane, remembering the experiences behind each unique encounter. You can even set special anniversaries for things like birthdays or the first time you met a Pokemon you love!

The next big function coming in the new Pokemon Home update is enhanced functionality for the Pokedex feature of the app.

This simple feature allows players to more freely examine the 3D models of the various monsters they’ve pocketed over the years. Maybe you’ll even learn something new about your favorite Pokemon by looking at it from a different perspective.

Finally, and most engaging for some players, is a new Mystery Gift! The latest Mystery Gift distribution is a special Bulbasaur and Squirtle that have the capability of Gigantimaxing when they reach their final evolutions.

These two limited Pokemon will be available to players on both the Nintendo Switch and mobile versions of Pokemon Home in June!
