It seems those players who bought a ticket to the Kanto tour are in for an extra event thrown in for free.

According to Pokemon Go Live, there will be a Kanto bonus event taking place later this week.

There was seemingly a technical issue during the Kanto Tour that allowed some free trainers access to the portion of the event reserved for those who bought tickets.

Because of this, Niantic has decided to host a Bonus Kanto Event to make sure that those players who bought tickets “Feel like they are receiving its value”.

Now, what can you get from this Kanto Bonus Event you might be wondering? Well, it’s quite a lot, if the list if anything to go off.

As for those trainers who got access to the event for free, Niantic are seemingly fully accepting the blame of the error and leaving any researches they may have going alone – rather than any punishments or attempted undoing of progress made and rewards earned.

In any case, it seems like they’ve handled this as well as can be expected. It should be quite a popular move with the player base, the ticket holders get a very generous block of additional rewards and the F2P’s who got hit by a beneficial bug didn’t get punished for something outside their own control. Well done to Niantic on this one, I think.
