Pokemon Go Shiny Swablu Community Day

It’s time for another Community day in Pokemon Go, and if you like Swablu you’re in luck, because Shiny Swablu will be available at higher odds than usual.

Community days are pretty big events in Pokemon Go terms, so lets get into the details.

Will this Pokemon Go event feature Shiny Swablu?

It will, and Shiny Swablu will be available at a boosted rate – making it easier to find than normal, but more on that later.

When is the Swablu Community Day?

The Swablu community day will be on May 15th at 11:00 AM and end 6 hours later at 5:00 PM.

As per usual, Pokemon Go events are in local time unless otherwise specified, so don’t worry about tracking the time in your timezone, and it will be this time in your timezone.

What can we expect from the event?

This will be the usual community day shenanigans – a whole lot of the featured Pokemon for 6 straight hours. The focus this time will be Swablu, so you’ll be seeing plenty of the little cotton bird Pokemon around.

If you’re not familiar with community days, virtually every spawn will be replaced with the Pokemon shown above – Swablu – for the duration of the event.

Community days usually have a lot of small bonuses thrown in too, so let’s get into those.

Additional event bonuses

As usual, I’ve thrown together a list of these bonuses for you as well.

  • Evolving Swablu will give an Altaria that knows the event-exclusive attack Moonblast
  • Hatch Distance reduced to 25% of normal for the event
  • Incense boosted to 3 hour duration for the event
  • A community day box costing 1280 coins in the shop
    • Featuring: 50 Ultra balls, five super incubators, five incense and an Elite Fast Tm
  • 5 Swablu themed photobombs
  • Mega Altaria will be making raid appearances after the event ends

This is all on top of Swablu spawning heavily and having a bonus chance to encounter Shiny Swablu – not bad at all.

Make sure to take advantage by getting as many eggs into incubators during the event as you can as well, this will be an excellent way to clear out any long distance eggs you’ve been avoiding.

Now, on to Shiny Swablu.

How will shiny Swablu look in Pokemon Go?

In essence, Swablu gets a swap from blue to yellow – this will likely depend on people’s colour preferences as its a pretty simple swap.
