To start off a new season, Pokemon Go is hosting a Spring into Spring event. The event features Pokemon wearing flower crowns, alongside egg and spring-themed Pokemon making more frequent appearances.
The event also features a few bonuses, so be sure to read on for all the details.
When is the Pokemon Go Spring into Spring event?
The Spring into Spring event will be starting on April 4th, at 10:00 AM, and running for a week until April 8th, at 8:00 PM – as usual, events are in local time.
Local time for those not familiar means that it will be occurring at that time in your timezone, regardless of your time zone.

What can we expect?
The usual varied set of effects that we get from a large event like this – adjusted spawn rates, adjusted egg-spawns, a new shiny.
If that isn’t enough to interest you, the event also has event-specific costumes, research and Mega Lopunny will be making its debut in raids – while related avatar items will be doing the same in the shop.
Flower Crown Costumes
A number of Pokemon will have flower crown outfits available during the event. Including all of the following:
- Happiny (from eggs)
- Chansey (wild-caught)
- Blissey (Evolved from the above)
- Eevee (from eggs)
- Pichu (from eggs)
- Pikachu (wild-caught)

Wild Spawns
These spring-themed Pokemon will be making appearances in the wild – it should be noted that all of these are shiny capable, so this event may make a good chance to collect if you’re missing a few.
- Pikachu (Flower crown)
- Exeggcute
- Marill
- Plusle
- Minun
- Buneary
- Bunnelby
Shadow Pokemon
Shadow Exeggcute will also be added to the roster of Team Rocket for the duration.
It’s likely this will be a similar capacity to Aipom during the Tricky Pokemon event where most if not all Team Rocket Grunts will come equipped with this new Shadow Pokemon.
2KM Eggs
Similar to wild spawns, Eggs got a spring update too, and the 2km pool now has a lot of baby-Pokemon and rabbit-Pokemon to hatch.
Speaking of hatching, you might want to do a lot of it, because the event has a doubled hatch candy effect for the duration, alongside a 1/2 Egg Hatching Distance effect.
- Exeggcute
- Eevee (Flower crown)
- Pichu (Flower crown)
- Togepi
- Azurill
- Buneary
- Happiny
- Munchlax – Shiny NOT available.
- Rufflet
- Bunnelby

Is there anything else in the event?
This event does release a new shiny variant as mentioned in the title, – Bunnelby and its evolution Diggersby will now be available in their shiny forms at all times.
As usual, I’ve included a combination image below of both the new shiny variants now available so that you can form your own opinions.

Personally I don’t really like either of these two normally, but the shiny forms seem… a bit better, to me at least? Not really enough that I’d want to definitely keep all of them, but maybe hold on to one shiny or so for collection’s sake.
Oh, and any lucky eggs used during the event will have their duration doubled to one hour – presumably to stick with the eggs and spring theme going on so far.
In any case, that’s everything you need to know about the upcoming Spring into Spring event for Pokemon Go, have fun Trainers!
