Spellbreak The Fracture – Everything New With Chapter 2

Last Updated on: 16th April 2021, 07:11 am

Spellbreak, the battlemage battle royale game from Proletariat Inc has approached its second chapter The Fracture. With the release of The Fracture we got a new game mode, as well as a new Chapter Pass, remaining mechanics that appeared in the previous chapter and so much more. Below, we’ll go over all the details so far released with the patch notes for Spellbreak Chapter 2: The Fracture.

The Fracture has a lot of new features but also a lot of the mechanics we saw introduced in Chapter 1, a few weeks at a time, are all seen present in some form in The Hollow Lands.

There’s a new mode to play instead of battle royale as well as competitive for those looking for a real challenge.

Battle royale can be a mix of.. not so many good players sometimes so it feels good to not only see an objective type of game mode but also one with the inclusion of a ranked system.

Proletariat has shown consistently since release that it is always listening to player feedback and improving and these patch notes show exactly that.

The Fracture Introduces Dominion to Spellbreak

The previously mentioned new game mode is called Dominion and as also stated earlier it is an objective-based game mode. The objective of this 5V5 game is to essentially control all 3 zones. The 3 zones to control are Sun, Moon, and Star. Between these 3 Zones you’ll find a surprising new feature to the game: Vowguards. These Vanguards are NPCs that spawn in groups of 3 between these Zones in replacement of Chests within the mode, as you will not find any.

This game will require players to stand in the Zone for a total of 10 seconds in order to turn the Zone into the color of their team in order to earn points.

As the match progresses players will level up their mage that battle and earn new skills at the 2, 4, and 8 minute marks. Players will also have the ability to visit The Merchant and re-roll or swap their current loadout of gauntlets, as well as hold more than the usual amount.

In this game mode, players will also be able to hold more than the usual amount of 2 gauntlets in their inventory.

When players are already in possession of 2 gauntlets, they will hold additional gauntlets in their inventory and will be able to switch their non-starting gauntlet with these additional gauntlets.

Competitive Also Joins Along With The Fracture

Competitive, ranked gameplay has now been added to Spellbreak corresponding with the release of Dominion.

Players will earn crowns from playing Ranked Dominion by performing eliminations, capturing and defending Zones, dealing damage, etc. Earning crowns will increase players’ rank and allow them to climb to various other Tiers.

Each Tier will increase in difficulty and become more challenging to advance further but increasing Tiers will earn you rewards you can only earned this way such as Titles and Badges.

However, these rewards will not be rewarded until the end of the season.

There’s a whole lot of additional changes and improvements as well such as: swapping out daily missions, Ascending Outfits, removal and changes to some Talents, and additional changes to equipment, Runes, bug fixes, and so much more to ensure a smoother, customized experience within The Hollow Lands.
