Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 is here and it has changed the way we play Fortnite with the new crafting system.
As with every season, new challenges arrived with it. Here is how to complete Craft Mechanical weapons using mechanical parts and a makeshift weapon from the Season 6 Week 1 challenges.
Craft a Hunter’s Cloak
Crafting is a new feature to Season 6, allowing players to create their perfect loadout.
This can be done by collecting Bones or Mechanical Parts, depending on whether you want to build Primal or Mechanical weapons.
In order to prevent Wildlife from running away, players can craft Hunter’s Cloak to mask themselves so Wildlife doesn’t detect them.
To craft this, players need to gather one Meat and two Bones from other Wildlife animals.
Once these are in your inventory, click Craft and you are good to go.
The Hunter’s Cloak allows players to go undetected for 10 seconds a time.
Week 1 Epic Quests
Here are the Week 1 Epic Quests.
The challenges this week are:
- Hunt Wildlife (5)
- Craft Primal weapons using bones and makeshift weapons (3)
- Craft a Hunter’s Cloak (1)
- Talk to characters (3)
- Collect mechanical parts from vehicles, trailers, buses, or tractors (5)
- Craft Mechanical weapons using mechanical parts and a makeshift weapon (3)
- Find golden artifacts near The Spire (3)
Each Epic Quest is worth 24,000 XP, granting 168,000 XP in total, around 2 levels worth of XP.

Week 1 Legendary Quests
Here are the Week 1 Legendary Quests.
The Legendary Quest this week is:
The first stage of the challenge is worth 35,000 XP, the following 4 are worth 24,500 XP each, giving a total of 140,000 XP for completing the Legendary Quest.

But be fast, Legendary Quests are only around until the next set of challenges go live and then they are gone forever.
