Guardians of the Galaxy has a great team of playable characters including Rocket (definitely not a raccoon). Guardians of the Galaxy gives Groot some pretty Groot-esque abilities, and here’s what you need to know about them.

Entangle

Groot grapples multiple enemies in place.

  • Target: 2/4
  • Stagger: 0/4
  • Damage: 0/4
  • Cooldown: 1/4

If you’re looking to trap your enemies and prevent them from moving, then Groot’s “Entangle” ability is exactly what you want to use. This keeps multiple enemies trapped for you to easily blast them away.

Uproot

Groot causes roots to shoot up from the ground, dealing Moderate Damage to enemies in range, and launching small to medium enemies in the air.

  • Target: 2/4
  • Stagger: 0/4
  • Damage: 2/4
  • Cooldown: 2/4

If “Entangle” isn’t really your style, then maybe you’d like to fling your enemies into the air? If so, Groot’s “Uproot” ability does just that to perfection.

Mammoth Grab

Groot grapples a single large enemy in place, dealing Moderate Stagger.

  • Target: 1/4
  • Stagger: 2/4
  • Damage: 0/4
  • Cooldown: 3/4

If you’re tired of these large enemies coming at you hard, stop them in their tracks with Groot’s “Mammoth Grab” ability. This should make it much easier to handle the rest of the enemies while the large enemy is staggered.

Mega ability: Gift of the Florae

There’s a few spoilers that go along with this ability, so we won’t elaborate a whole lot, but Groot can now automatically revive you if you go down in battle.
