Great Wroggi Acute Fang

With the worldwide release of Monster Hunter Rise players are scrambling to get their hands on materials and gear, and we’re here to tell you how to get yours on Acute Fang specifically.

Acute Fang is a High Rank crafting material required to make parts of the several armor sets, as well as a variety of weapons. The material is described in the game as follows.

“Fangs come in many shapes and sizes. This one is small but can still pierce scale.”

The material is relatively easy to find, as it is available as a reward for slaying and carving certain small monsters, as well as quest completion rewards for certain High Rank quests.

These small monsters can sometimes drop two acute fangs at a time (Wroggi target rewards even have a 12% chance of dropping 4 fangs). The material can also be obtained through carves or Palico gathering, with probabilities ranging from 10% to 22%.

You can find the exact drop rate for Acute Fang from each of these monsters on the Kiranico database page for it here.

Keep in mind that Acute Fangs are only available as High Rank materials. Slaying small monsters in Low Rank will not drop these items as rewards, so it would be futile to attempt farming them in Low Rank.

Acute Fangs can also be obtained by completing certain High Rank quests. The drop rates for the fangs as High Rank quest rewards ranged from 7% to 12%, getting more rare the higher the quest rank is.
