It has been rumoured for a while that Alan Wake Remastered is in the works, bringing a fresh coat of paint to the 2010 game that was originally released on the Xbox 360 before coming to PC in 2012.

A second game, Alan Wake: American Nightmare, was released in 2012, but the series went silent following the game, with both titles eventually being removed from online stores.

However, a new partnership with Epic Games has breathed new life into the series, with Alan Wake 2 now in full production.

Earlier this year a string of code was found in the files for the Epic Games Store, which revealed that the game would be coming, along with Final Fantasy 7 Remake coming to EGS too.

Until now, we’ve had no idea when it was coming, just that it was. That has now changed as Rakuten Taiwan has leaked when Alan Wake Remastered will be officially released, and it isn’t too far away.

Alan Wake Remastered is set to be released on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S on October 5th, we can also assume that the game will be released on PC via Epic Games Store on the same date.

With the game yet to be announced, and only a month away, we can expect an official announcement very soon.

A brand new PlayStation Showcase event is due to take place on September 9th, which could be a great opportunity for the game to be announced.
