Microsoft recently announced that they have finalized their acquisition of ZeniMax Media, the parent company of studios such as Bethesda.

This means that IPs such as The Elder Scrolls, Fallout, DOOM, The Evil Within and many others are now under the Xbox umbrella.

While there’s a lot of speculation as to what this could mean for these titles, Phil Spencer stated that “some new titles in the future that will be exclusive to Xbox and PC players.” Could The Elder Scrolls 6 skip the PS5?

Bethesda Games Coming To Xbox Game Pass

Microsoft didn’t waste any time in announcing that Bethesda titles will be coming to Xbox Game Pass.

In a tweet, Xbox announced the upcoming arrival of Bethesda games saying,

“What would you all say if we told you we’re adding even more @Bethesda titles? because we’re adding even more @Bethesda titles”.

When pressed further by fans they responded simply saying they are “coming soon”.

Which Games Are Coming?

Microsoft have stated in the past that all first and second party titles will eventually be on Game Pass if they aren’t already.

This makes the service an incredible value for money as it has major Xbox franchises such as Halo, Forza, Fable, Gears of War, and many others on the serivce.

It also means we should eventually see the entire Bethesda library, along with the other studios, be added to Game Pass.

Some titles such as DOOM Eternal, Dishonored 2, Fallout 76, New Vegas, RAGE 2, Skyrim, The Elder Scrolls Online, and Wolfenstein: Youngblood are already on the service, but that still leaves many games that aren’t.

Games such as DOOM (2016) Fallout 3 & 4, TES: Oblivion, and The Evil Within 1 & 2 are missing from the platform, as well as older or underrated titles such as Morrowind, Wet, and Brink.

It is likely we will see all of these games added to the service, with the larger titles probably coming first.

And with Bethesda now being own by Microsoft, the games won’t rotate out either and will be a permanent fixture on Game Pass, much like Halo and Gears of War.

To be honest, I’m just excited to hopefully play Wet again, that game was drastically underrated.

Future Titles

Regardless of whether games such as The Elder Scrolls 6 will be on PS5 or not, we do know one thing.

All Microsoft owned games are added to Game Pass on day one, meaning that games such as The Elder Scrolls 6, Fallout 5, and soon to be released titles such as Deathloop and Ghostwire: Tokyo will all be added on day one as part of the subscription, negating the need to spend up to $70 for each title.
