Ah, Dead by Daylight, a love letter to horror nerds everywhere; it started as this janky but fun multiplayer romp to one of the best asymmetric multiplayer games you can play right now.

Over the years, it’s gotten lots of great additions to its roster of playable horror monsters, such as Ghostface, Michael Myers, and Pyramid Head.

Recently, it was announced that Dead by Daylight’s prestigious roster of monsters and heroes would be graced with Resident Evil content.

Sometime in April, Dead by Daylight developer Behavior teased an announcement for Resident Evil content. The short video had some screaming, a hook, and the infamous Umbrella logo as a charm you can have in-game

. Everyone waited with bated breath for the ultimate reveal, and today, on May 25th, we got the first look at what we’ll be getting on June 15th.

A New Nemesis

So the ultimate reveal was Nemesis chasing one of Dead by Daylight’s original characters, Meg Thomas, through the burning streets of Raccoon City. The video ends with gunshots from an unseen source before revealing both Leon S. Kennedy and Jill Valentine as upcoming playable survivors.

They’ll have their own perks that will allow them to take more proactive actions against a killer, such as laying a trap at a generator or creating a flashbang grenade that can stun.

The Nemesis will have the ability to infect players via attacks and AI zombies that will roam his map, while infected players will only be able to cure the infection with a limited amount of antidotes spread around the map. He’ll have his iconic fleshy tentacle that he can attack players with and I’m sure he’ll also be growling the entire time he chases you.

Raccoon City Road Trip

In addition to Leon and Jill, you’ll also get a new map from Resident Evil, the R.P.D building from Resident Evil 2, which I’m hoping will be as vast as Silent Hill’s Midwich Elementary School.

The Public Test Build of the content is up to try today, so if you want a sneak peek of Dead by Daylight’s Resident Evil content, make sure you look at this forum post.

Personally, I hope Behavior introduces some sort of free for all mode so I can have my dream deathmatch between Leatherface, Pyramid Head, and Nemesis. That would be pretty sick.

Until that happens, I’ll just stick to chasing mooks all around the R.P.D when the Resident Evil chapter drops on June 15th.
