Capcom announced today that the Monster Hunter: Rise title update 3.0 will be releasing on May 27th with plenty of content to keep hunters hunting. In a brief twitch stream, Capcom laid out just exactly what will be coming in the next update. Here’s just what we can expect!

What is probably the biggest news for players who have reached the endgame loop is the addition of a new “true” ending, wrapping up the cliffhanger from the end of the base game. We don’t know exactly what this new ending will entail, but we know that it will include a showdown between Ibushi and Narwa, making for an interesting and flavorful quest.

Another fun piece of content arriving in this update is crossover content and the announcement of a variety of Capcom crossover content over time. The first of which will be a crossover with Monster Hunter Stories 2 in mid-June. Players will be able to receive the Rider armor from Monster Hunter Stories 2 by linking their saved data from Stories 2 to Monster Hunter: Rise.

We can also expect new DLC to be made available with new hairstyles, voices, emotes, and BGM’s. Of course, other quests including new ones for Apex Diablos and Rathalos will be added and a few new monsters, including Apex Zinogre.

Most notably, a variant of totally awesome Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate flagship monster Valstrax, known as Crimson Glow Valstrax jets it’s way into the Monster Hunter: Rise title update 3.

Valstrax was an interesting Elder dragon that has forgone traditional wings in place of super-rad turbojets that it can use to do to hunters what jet planes do to birds that get a little too close. Valstrax would use these incredible appendages to fly so high that it appeared to be a comet soaring the skies.

Truly an awe-inspiring monster and it’s new variant will certainly be an incredible one to hunt that both new and veteran players are sure to love. Make sure to download the Monster Hunter: Rise title update 3 when it goes live on May 27th!
