The ESA’s all-digital E3 is fast-approaching and we’re starting to see quite a few more leaks popping up about what’s in-store. Today’s leak is from Reddit and it looks like a new Borderlands game is set to be announced during 2K’s presentation at E3 2021 next week.

New Borderlands Game? Let’s Go!

Redditor u/swine_flu_greg (which is a pretty great username) has shared a pretty in-depth leak that highlights four new games coming from 2K at E3 next week. One of these is a new Borderlands game; Wonderlands is set to be a spinoff from the main series and feature Tiny Tina as the protagonist.

According to the leak, which you can see below, “Wonderlands” is set to follow the traditional multi-class action-shooter gameplay of Borderlands. This should mean it will play out something like the Pre-Sequel did, fleshing out existing characters in the universe. There’s no new as to whether it is set before or after the current timeline of events though, but the leak does share the trademarking for the project. We guess that means it’s pretty legitimate.

It also recieved a bit of an “approval tweet” from industry commentator Jason Schreier, which has to count for something?

The Reddit leak also details a few other announcements. NBA 2K22 isn’t going to be much of a surprise to anyone, though. An XCOM-style Marvel game could be an interesting take on Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, though and a new “open-world sci-fi title with supernatural elements” is always fun.

Of course, take everything in the leak with a grain of salt. However, it has been a couple of years since Borderlands 3 and we know that everyone’s hungry to dive back into Borderlands’ unique art-style and captivating humour.
