Pokémon GO Tour: Kanto art

The upcoming Pokemon GO Tour: Kanto will give users the opportunity to catch a shiny Mew, among many other goodies.

In order to participate in this event, you have until February 20, 2021, at 7 p.m. local time to purchase a ticket.

I am sure you are wondering how you can go about getting this shiny Mew, which actually is not that complicated. Put into simple terms, you will first want to finish the Pokemon GO Tour: Kanto’s Special Research story, where you are given the chance to catch a shiny Ditto, which then unlocks the Masterwork Research, which upon completion allows you a chance to catch shiny Mew.

Here is where we get into the specifics on how you can go about catching that shiny Mew.

According to the Pokemon GO Live website, you will first need to work on receiving your Platinum Kanto medal in order to complete the first page. From there, you will need to “reach level 40, catch 30 Pokemon of each type, spin 151 unique PokeStops, walk 151 km, and more”.

After completing everything in the Masterwork Research, you will then be given a chance to encounter a shiny Mew and add it to your collection.
