Xbox Revisits Series X Fridge With Mini Version

Xbox originally unveiled the Xbox fridge for Snoop Dogg’s birthday but now after winning a Twitter poll against Skittles for “Best of Tweets” brand, Xbox is treating its fans to a Mini Fridge version of the refrigerator that was given to the famous rapper. Immediately upon the original showing of the full sized Xbox edition fridge, fans wanted in. Below, we’ll go over all the details we have so far about these fantastic little beasts soon to be made available to the public; hopefully after the Series X is actually acquirable.

Back in October Xbox surprised Snoop Dogg with the very first full sized Xbox fridge, an avid user of the platform for years and showing constant support for the company across social media certainly earned him the surprise.

This original Xbox fridge was a replica of the Series X, being a 1:1 scale to the console and weighing 400 pounds and standing 6 feet tall.

The reason for this actually comes from deep within the community of Xbox fans, originating as a meme for the likeness between the Series X and a household appliance; among a million other things.

The Series X was compared to everything from a cinder block, to a Wendy’s sandwich themed Xbox called “Dave’s Series X” to Spongebob Squarepants and so much more.

The Series S was also the victim of this, being compared to a drive-thru speaker and even a hot plate from a restaurant.

The Xbox Fridge has some really cool features such as the trademark Xbox green lighting inside, the disc slot in the door handle and a light up power button to help you get to your necessary gaming fuel in the dark.

The Xbox Fridge was even built to be quieter than the average refrigerator.

While we don’t know what features will carry over to the new Xbox Mini Fridge that’s going to go into production, what we do know is that it will actually be available for purchase thanks to the recent Twitter poll held recently that named Xbox #BestOfTweets brand.

While Skittles promised to bring back the loved lime flavored Skittle, Xbox must either have a stronger fanbase, a better promise to fans with a Xbox mini fridge, or maybe even both.

It’s also unknown when or even how much one of these Xbox mini fridges are going to be, but I’m sure they’re going to be perfect.

Personally, as someone who definitely needs a mini fridge for my gaming station and as an Xbox fan, I would absolutely love to get my hands on one of these so let’s hope it’s sooner than later.
