If you’re looking for Black Panther 2 news, we’ve got the latest from Marvel Studios. The upcoming sequel to Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther is actually going to be called Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and we also now know when it is slated to hit theatres. Here’s what we know below.

Black Panther 2 News – Wakanda Forever

From T’Challa’s first appearance in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, we’ve wanted more from Chadwick Boseman’s electrifying performance as the Black Panther. Coogler’s solo film, Black Panther, is regarded as one of the best in the MCU’s library and it left us wanting more.

Sadly, though, as you might already know… Chadwick Boseman passed away earlier this year. It is a huge loss for the industry as a whole and it left the planned sequel to Black Panther a little up in the air. In Marvel’s main comic universe, Earth-616, Shuri takes up the mantle of the Black Panther.

Although we don’t know exactly if this is what will happen in Black Panther 2, the news that the title is now going to be Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, seems a fitting tribute. As for the release date, this film is scheduled to hit theatres on July 8th, 2022. That’s just over a year away!

We are expecting Letitia Wright and Angela Bassett to reprise their roles, as well as Winston Duke as M’baku. However, other than that… We really don’t know what’s coming just yet. In any case, the title seems like a fitting sentiment to honour the late Chadwick Boseman.

Thankfully, there has also been a swift and decisivie response to claims that T’challa might be recast. He will not be. Chadwick Boseman is T’Challa and he always will be.

Marvel Studios’ Phase 4

The next Phase of Marvel Studios‘ Marvel Cinematic Universe is going to be huge and The Marvels is just one part of this multi-faceted universe of film and television.

We don’t have any new looks at Loki, Ms Marvel, or Hawkeye yet… But, we did get a new look at The Eternals and a lot more than just that Ant-Man and The Wasp news we’ve mentioned above.
