It’s about time we got some Captain Marvel 2 news, right? Well, we’re going to have to stop calling it that. Today, Marvel Studios shared a new Sizzle Reel for the MCU’s Phase 4 and we got a brand new title for the Captain Marvel sequel and an updated release date!

Captain Marvel 2 News Update

Alright, so it’s big news… We now know that Captain Marvel 2 is actually going to be called The Marvels!

It is a little unusual as a title but when you see the logo, then you’ll know what we’re on about. The Captain Marvel sequel is also now slated to release on November 11, 2022, following the revised schedule that was impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Brie Larson and Teyonah Parris are both due to return as Captain Marvel and Monica Rambeau, however, you might notice that “S” looks a little odd…

Well, that’s because Iman Vellani is also slated to make her Big Screen debut as Kamala Khan in The Marvels! This, of course, following her Disney Plus series focused on Kamala Khan’s journey into becoming Ms Marvel. It’s safe to say that we’re very excited for this one.

There are also rumours that we could be seeing the introduction of Blue Marvel. Adam Brashear becomes Blue Marvel after essentially becoming an Antimatter Reactor. There were attempts to create a bridge between the Negative Zone and the physical matter of the universe, but this backfired.

It’s a similar story to how Carol Danvers got her abilities in Captain Marvel, really. We’re not sure how Marvel Studios will change it, but Blue Marvel could be a fantastic expansion into the development of S.W.O.R.D. in the MCU.

Marvel Studios’ Phase 4

The next Phase of Marvel Studios‘ Marvel Cinematic Universe is going to be huge and The Marvels is just one part of this multi-faceted universe of film and television.

We don’t have any new looks at Loki, Ms Marvel, or Hawkeye yet… But, we did get a new look at The Eternals and a lot more than just that Captain Marvel 2 news we’ve mentioned above.

We got a brand new look at The Eternals, new information about the Black Panther sequel and an updated release schedule for 2021’s Phase 4 movies! We also got to hear more of Stan Lee just being an icon, so it’s well worth the watch. You can find it below:
