This time around Marvel fanatics had the help of easter eggs and hints dotted around episode 5 to help guide their prediction.

These easter eggs included a giant Yellowjacket helmet, linking Antman and the Wasp directly to Loki, a version of Stark towers with the name “QENG” plastered on the side, and more overtly Alioth. If you do not know already these are big hints towards the highly anticipated Loki villain.

Here is what we know about the easter eggs.

On the side of a ruined version of Stark Towers, we can see “QENG” which is short for Qeng Enterprises. Qeng is a company stolen straight from the comics owned by a certain Mr Gryphon or Nathaniel Richards a version of Kang the Conqueror.

Additionally, a report has suggested that Jonathan Majors, also known for his role in Lovecraft Country, is going to play the villain, Kang the Conqueror in the upcoming film Ant-man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023). Making the Yellowjacket helmet a nod to that.

And finally, Alioth is the name of a famous villain in the Marvel comics. His appearance in the Loki series is somewhat true to comic book form. Alioth is indeed a big intimidating cloud that devours people’s energy. The beast is similarly linked to Kang the Conqueror in the comics.

All arrows point to Kang the conqueror as the highly anticipated villain.

In episode 6 of Loki. Our two protagonists, Loki and Sylvie, finally face up to the highly anticipated villain. Jonathan Majors is the man in the castle, confirming one of the theories. It seems very likely that the villain is indeed Kang the Conqueror, however, he is never explicitly named as such. In the episode, Jonathan Majors is referred to as “He who remains”

He explains to Loki and Sylvie that they cannot defeat him as he knows their every move beforehand. He who remains then goes to demonstrate that he was a scientist who discovered the multiverse a long time ago and inadvertently started a multiversal war between variants of himself.

He quickly remedied this by creating the TVA, which he runs. However, his much eviller counterparts still linger. In the end, this quirkier version of the highly anticipated villain is killed, with his last words being “See you soon”.

Undeniably, it seems that in this finale episode of Loki, Jonathan Majors played a version of Kang the Conqueror. It is likely that the highly anticipated villain, although killed, will return in Loki season 2 and will possibly make an appearance in the MCU as a whole.
