Pokemon Go: Everything you need to get Gallade

Gallade in the Pokemon Anime

Gallade is a popular Psychic/Fighting Dual-type Pokemon, but how do you get this evolution of Ralts line in Pokemon Go exactly?

Fortunately, this is a pretty easy one to answer in full, so this short guide will only take you a minute.

How to get Gallade in Pokemon Go

Gallade isn’t actually terribly hard to get a hold of in Pokemon Go, it’s just a case of knowing precisely what you need in advance – otherwise, it might take quite a while before you accidentally stumble onto it.

Gallade is one of the few Pokemon that are gender-locked – meaning that to evolve into a Gallade, a Kirlia must be a specific gender. Gallade is available only for male Kirlia. If you have a male Kirlia available, then you just need the usual 100 candies and a Sinnoh Stone to complete the evolution.

If you’re not sure how to check gender in Pokemon Go, don’t worry – we’ve got a guide for that too.

Sinnoh Stones are also used for other Pokemon evolutions as well, so make sure you’re set on Gallade if you only have one to use. You can see a full list of all the Pokemon that can make use of a Sinnoh Stone at the link above.

If you’re wondering how to find a Sinnoh Stone, claiming research breakthroughs and completing trainer battles are the main sources of them.

Is there anything else to know?

Evolving Kirlia into Gallade really is that simple, the only extra requirement is the gender lock – which is why you might not have seen the “evolve into Gallade” button before in Pokemon Go, it’ll only show if you’re on a male Kirlias page.

That’s about everything that needs to be said for Gallade. If you’re looking for more Pokemon Go content like this guide or other stories, you can find them in our Pokemon Go Category, and if you’d instead like to see more by me specifically, you can find my page here.
