Pokemon Go: Hoopa’s arrival, collection challenge event
Last Updated on: 5th September 2021, 03:11 pm
Pokemon Go is kicking off the season of mischief event with Hoopa’s arrival – an event including free items, a collection challenge and more!
The event itself is here to serve as a sort of introduction to the season and is focused in a similar manner to an incense day event with different types of Pokemon spawning each hour.
How to catch Hoopa update
Hoopa is now available in Pokemon Go as part of the ongoing Misunderstood Mischief storyline. If you’re looking for a Hoopa of your very own, make sure to check out our article on how to catch Hoopa now!
The original article will resume below this point, though may now be outdated.
Hoopa’s Arrival in Pokemon Go
Unfortunately, this event is not responsible for the addition of Hoopa to the game, as some are likely hoping from the name. The event is named as such as the season is themed around Hoopa, and we’ll be seeing that little troublemaker later on.
This event is instead a one-day long incense day, featuring Psychic-Types, alternating with Dark and Ghost-Type Pokemon spawning with each hour.
The event will start on the 5th of September, at 11:00 AM local time, and ends at 5:00 pm local time.
Hoopa’s Arrival features
The event will include doubled transfer candy as an added bonus, though the main event itself will feature a collection challenge related to the Pokemon you’ll see throughout the event – with a completion reward of a free avatar pose and some Hoopa Candy.
We can also expect a free bundle with incense in the shop and some field-research tasks to temporarily award rare candy and various types of Poke ball.
The timetable for the main event with the incense hours is as follows:
- 11:00am to 12:00am – Psychic-types
- 12:00am to 1:00pm – Dark/Ghost-types
- 1:00pm to 2:00pm – Psychic-types
- 2:00pm to 3:00pm – Dark/Ghost-types
- 3:00pm to 4:00pm – Psychic-types
- 4:00pm to 5:00pm – Dark/Ghost-types
Psychic-type hour spawns
- Exeggcute
- Jynx
- Natu
- Girafarig
- Spoink
- Beldum
- Munna
All Pokemon that can be shiny during this event are highlighted in bold.
Ghost/Dark-type hour spawns
- Alolan Rattata
- Poochyena
- Sableye
- Carvanha
- Duskull
- Drifloon
- Purrloin
Again, all Pokemon that can be shiny during this event are highlighted in bold.
Is there anything else to be aware of?
Not really, the event seems to have little to do with Hoopa itself in any case, it’s just themed around Hoopa’s type and offers Hoopa candy as one of the rewards.
That’s about everything there is to know about the upcoming Hoopa’s arrival event in Pokemon Go.
