Pokemon Go June Research, featuring Clamperl

The Pokemon Go June Research Breakthrough has been revealed, and it’s time for Clamperl to take the research reward focus for the month.

When does the Research breakthrough update?

The Research breakthrough will change to Clamperl from June 1st, 9:00 PM GMT+1, and will run till the same time on the 1st of July.

As you might expect, this is pretty standard fare given the research breakthrough change is a monthly occurrence.

Pokemon Go June Research Breakthrough

For those not familiar with Research breakthroughs, when you do a research task for the first time each day, you earn a research “stamp”.

For every 7 of these you gather, you activate the research breakthrough of the month. Which among other things, means that you encounter the Pokemon featured as the research breakthrough shortly after you gain the 7th stamp. The process then starts again.

For June in 2021, the research breakthrough will be Clamperl, the Pokemon shown below.

As added bonuses:

  • Throughout this month, you will also receive a free Remote Raid Pass
  • Doubled experience awarded on Research Breakthrough.

Anything else?

There really isn’t much else to this one, its a simple monthly event in Pokemon Go.

On the upside, it’ll provide a nice few chances for any Clamperl enthusiasts to get a start on their very own Clamperl fish tank. And even for those who don’t have any unique enthusiasm for it, Clamperl is worth extra Stardust, so those captures are a plus either way.
