Pokemon Go is moving on to the last of the Regi-themed raids, as now we’ve got a Regice raid hour coming up to look forward to. Is Shiny Regice available, what are its weaknesses, when is the raid hour? All of these things and more we cover below.

When is the Pokemon Go Regice raid hour?

Regice’s raid hour takes place at 6 pm local time and runs for the hour until 7 pm local time, on the 16th of June 2021.

In case you’re not yet familiar, Pokemon Go’s Local time means whatever the time is for you is the timezone used. So regardless as to your physical location across the world, the raid should take place at the time listed for you.

Regice’s moveset

Regice, like the other Regi’s so far featured in raid hours this month, is a Pokemon with a fairly limited moveset. If you have a good counter for Ice-type and Fighting-type moves, you’ve already dealt with most of its attacks.

The rest is just the standard Normal-type Lock-on attack, and Earthquake as a mix-up to throw you off. If you can handle those on top of Ice/Fighting, you’re in for an easy time.

Fast Attacks
  • Frost Breath
  • Lock-on
  • Rock Smash
Charged Attacks

What types are effective?

This one is quite curious as far as typical raids go, normally you’d expect at least as many resisted types as weaknesses, but in the case of Regice the super-effective weaknesses actually significantly outnumber the resisted damage types.

Super-effective types to prioritise using:
  • Fighting
  • Fire
  • Rock
  • Steel
Resisted types to avoid using:

It’s just Ice, so you don’t really have to worry about resistances for this raid outside of not hitting the Ice-type with Ice-type attacks.

Is that everything?

Almost. Back to the inital questions, we’ve covered everything but shiny status.

And those of you shiny hunters out there, you will be thrilled to know that Shiny Regice will be available for capture during this Pokemon Go raid hour – it’d be a great time to hunt for it too, given just how many Regice will be available in a short period of time.

The colouration change isn’t a huge one, as the main pale whitish blue is swapped for a more cyan shade, that said, it’s a pretty good-looking shiny.

There are, after all, some shinies that make the Pokemon look worse than how they started off. Not to mention any of the other Regi’s who may be an example of this.
