Pokemon Go is continuing with the Regi-themed raids, as now we’ve got a Registeel raid hour coming up to look forward to. Is Shiny Registeel available, what are its weaknesses, when is the raid hour? All things we cover below.

When is the Pokemon Go Registeel raid hour?

Registeel’s raid hour takes place at 6pm local time and runs for the hour until 7pm local time on the 9th of June 2021.

In case you’re not yet familiar, Pokemon Go’s Local time means whatever the time is for you is the timezone used. So regardless of your physical location across the world, the raid should take place at the time listed for you.

Registeel’s moveset

Registeel, similar to Regirock before it, is a Pokemon without a great deal of variety in it’s own moveset. It possesses 3 fast attacks and 3 charged attacks.

And just like with Regirock before it, there are only a few move-types to be on guard against due to this limited moveset. Registeel only possesses moves that are either Steel-type, Normal-type, or Fighting-type.

Moves

As mentioned above, there’s very little variety here. You can expect to be hit by Normal-type, Steel-type and Fighting-type moves. If you can counter those, you’re in for an easier time.

  • Flash Cannon
  • Focus Blast
  • Hyper Beam

What types are effective?

Super-effective types to prioritise using:

There isn’t much to note here, all of these deal the same damage at 160% total – pick whatever you have the best of.

  • Fighting
  • Fire
  • Ground
Resisted types to avoid using:

This list however is almost entirely the same at only 62.5% damage dealt, with a single exception. Avoid using Poison-type, as you will deal only 39% damage.

  • Fairy
  • Flying
  • Grass
  • Ice
  • Normal
  • Psychic
  • Rock
  • Steel
  • Poison

And those of you shiny hunters out there, you will be thrilled to know that Shiny Registeel will be available for capture during this Pokemon Go raid hour – it’d be a great time to hunt for it too, given just how many Registeel will be available in a short period of time.
