Popular accessory producer, TUMI, has launched a brand new collection of “Alpha Bravo” esports bags and accessories, and we got our hands on a couple of items to let you know what we think of them! For full disclosure, we received these items at no cost, however, this does not in any way impact our thoughts on the products.

I have to say, the shelf compartment in this backpack is one of the coolest features that I’ve seen on a tech backpack, and it’s a great way to separate some of your accessories. For example, I put my Nintendo Switch (in a carrying case), a Nintendo DSi and charger, as well as a case for Pokemon Sword and a JoyCon charging grip on the top shelf, and I put my Oculus Quest 2 on the bottom.

Everything fit into the TUMI esports backpack with ease. I did perform a pretty rough shake-test to replicate what could happen if you were to get stuck in a crowd, or if you’re running, or any sort of situation where your backpack could shake around.

While I shook it around on my back probably a little harder than you would probably ever do, unless you were doing so intentionally, however, I did find that when I opened the backpack, quite a few of the items inside were tossed around inside.

It would be nice to be able to secure the shelf a little more than you are currently able to, especially with a $525 backpack that highlights this as a key feature. Maybe the ability to zip the shelf to the sides of the bag? Just something that could help secure the items inside a little more.

Overall, the backpack fits a lot of stuff inside it, even though it doesn’t seem like the biggest backpack in the world (although, that’s probably because I’m 6’4″), it is very roomy. I managed to fit my Asus Zephyrus gaming laptop, my Oculus Quest 2 and its two Touch Controllers, my Nintendo Switch, Nintendo DSi, several other accessories for both the Switch and DSi, a Corsair keyboard, and honestly I still don’t even feel like I have enough to fill this backpack, that’s how much space is in it.

You could easily throw in an entire Xbox One and a PS4 and still have room for some other things in this TUMI esports backpack.

Quality-wise, this is definitely the highest quality backpack that I’ve ever laid my hands on. Of course, if you’re going to be paying a premium price, I would expect nothing less than a premium feeling product, and this delivers exactly that.

Both the interior and exterior of this backpack not only feel fantastic, but they look fantastic as well. It’s super sleek, and I particularly love the side pockets, they look and feel solid and sturdy.

Honestly, I think my favorite part about the exterior of this backpack are the little capsules on the end of the zippers. I don’t know what they are, but they definitely are appreciated as they are the perfect grip for the zippers and they hide the knot at the end of the rope.

Interior Features:

  • Elastic loops to hold cables
  • 2 open mesh pockets
  • Zip pocket
  • TUMI Tracer

Exterior Features

  • Zip opening to main compartment
  • Scratch-resistant front and back panels

The TUMI esports accessory kit features a pretty solid amount of storage space that allows you to store any accessories that you may need, like an Xbox or PlayStation controller and a couple of JoyCons for your Nintendo Switch, and a mouse if you’re also into PC gaming.

The elastic bands that hold any items that you may hold within the accessory kit are pretty strong, I tugged on them pretty hard and they held without even getting close to feeling like they’re about to give out.

The exterior of the accessory kit is also pretty sturdy, and I believe it is made out of the same material as the side compartments on the TUMI esports backpack, and is most certainly scratch-resistant as it resisted scratches from both fingernails and my knife, as I would hope with the $175 price tag on the accessory kit.

Overall, this TUMI esports collection seems to be a very premium lineup of products, however, that quality definitely comes at a premium price. The TUMI esports collection also comes with a Pro Sling and a Crossbody pack, however, I only received the backpack and accessory kit, so I can’t attest to the quality of those products, but if it’s anything like the ones I received, I’d say they’re solid.

If you want, you can even add a custom monogram, or purchase a premium monogram for $15 per letter!
