WWE: Cesaro asking for too much money on the independent circuit

WWE Cesaro

Cesaro was released by WWE in February following a decade-long run in the company. Since then, the Swiss Superman has remained relatively silent and his next move in the professional wrestling industry is unknown at this time.

We’re sure that many of the top promotions such as AEW, Impact, NWA, and New Japan Pro Wrestling will all be fighting to get his signature on a contract.

But, until that happens it is likely that we will see Cesaro show up on the indie circuit and at events and signings.

Cesaro’s rates are far too high says promoter

In a recent Fightful Select report, it has been revealed that Cesaro’s booking price is a lot higher than many bookers are prepared to pay, with it costing him a few bookings so far.

Cesaro is managed by an agent that is used by many other wrestlers and has been asking for a large amount of money to book the former WWE Superstar, although no figure has been revealed to the public.

It is also noted that some wrestlers purposely have a high booking price so they only get booked if it’ll be worth it so they can spend more time at home after spending many years on the road, although we’re unable to confirm whether this is the case with Cesaro.

Cesaro’s non-compete clause should be expiring later this month, meaning that we could see him either back on TV or announced for events as early as June.

One promoter has reported that they have been in contact with Cesaro regarding a signing event in July and are expected to reach a deal, meaning that it shouldn’t be too much longer until Cesaro is back in the public eye and hopefully it won’t be too much longer until he’s stepping in the ring again.
